WATT's unplugged
On June 16 Club Watt unfortunately closed its doors.
Rotterdam’s steering committee lost their positive view at WATT and didn’t see new business opportunities to save the city’s biggest pop stage. With or without the sustainable innovations, the costs for running the organization and renting the building were too high. Unfortunately WATT had no other choice but closing. Ask the visitors about their opinion and everyone will tell you it is a big loss for them and the city.

WATT is really sustainable? - (17-07-2008)  

On the 4th of September the world's first Sustainable Dance Club™, Club WATT, opens it doors. According to SDC, sustainable conduct of business means that people, planet and profit are in balance. In addition to use of sustainable elements or products in the club, it is important that the whole organisation and building are also focussed on sustainability.

PICNIC Green Challence Award - (27-09-2007)  
Sustainable Dance Club is was of the five finalists in the PICNIC Green Challenge. The PICNIC Green Challenge encourages creative and innovative spirits to give a concrete contribution to reversing climate change. Anyone with a good idea for a product/service, that can help to reduce the greenhouse effect in a consumer friendly way and contribute to a sustainable lifestyle was able to win 500.000 euro.

Sustainable dancing in Amsterdam - (29-06-2007)  
The night of 1st June 2007 will be the informal kick-off of the ‘Sustainable Week in Amsterdam’ with the first Amsterdam sustainable dance night in club 11. If you think sustainability is dull, think again!
