The revolutionary project “pavement power” of Toulouse was a huge success! The idea was to generate electricity for street lights through the stamping feet of pedestrians.  The Sustainable Dance Floor produced energy when people moved over the modules. According to Alexandre Marciel, the city's deputy mayor in charge of sustainable development, the modules seemed to provide an opportunity for cities on how to save and produce energy.
